A native of Crowley, Louisiana, Dr. Joseph earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans. He completed his internship at University Medical Center in Lafayette, his general surgery residency Alton Ochsner Medical Foundation in New Orleans and his otolaryngology residency at LSU Medical Center, where he currently holds the position of Clinical Assistant Professor of the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. He then completed a fellowship in facial plastic surgery in Atlanta, Georgia, and is the only fellowship trained facial plastic surgeon in Lafayette. He is a Diplomat of the American Board of Otolaryngology and the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is a member of the American Medical Association, American Academy of Otolaryngology, American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Lafayette Parish Medical Society, Louisiana State Medical Society and the American College of Surgeons and, in addition, he is credited with numerous publications and presentations. In 2003, Dr. Joseph was the only Louisiana facial plastic surgeon included in a profile of nationally recognized cosmetic surgeons called “The Beauty Makers”. He served on the Fellowship Committee of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and is currently a member of the Residency Relation Committee. He is Vice-Chairman of the Medical Executive Committee at Lafayette General Surgical Hospital and serves on the Clinical Credentials and Privileges Committee, as well.
