People have different notions of the term "super hero". Those who work with LGSH Security Maintenance Officer Murphy Lormand agree that, even as a human, he comes close to possessing super traits. Above and beyond his primary duties of routine maintenance, Murphy pitches in wherever and whenever needed, often helping in the least expected ways. This has included walking patients to the bathroom and walking visitors to their car late at night. Murphy is praised for being self-directed and efficient. On many a night off, he has come in to troubleshoot or train an employee. His director says he has answered the call for STAT coverage many times, even coming in at midnight. He's proven that he is more than willing to cover for others when they're on vacation. "He backs us 100%", says a coworker. "He is our true 'super hero' that saves the day, never leaving us stranded".
